About the House

The concept for the house came from enjoyable week ends away with friends, just enjoying good food, wine and great company. Tam O'Shanter Views is perfectly set up for four couples to enjoy a week – all you need to bring is your food to prepare those memorable dinners, and a curiosity to see what this northern region reveals. If you are looking for a great holiday home to rent, this one might just fit the bill!

The location is such that you can simply "stay put" and enjoy the house and all it has to offer, or, if the wineries, golf courses or local attractions beckon, you can fill your days with the sights and tastes of this wonderful area.

The house has been built to maximise the views but also to blend in with the natural environment and coastal setting, the colours reflecting the ocean and sand .

The builder, Baden Long of George Town entered the house in the 2006 HIA  Northern Tasmanian Housing Awards for a Custom Built Home  and was a Finalist in the awards!!  Badens' building skills and attention to detail has resulted in a well built house that has been finished off impeccably.
