Ben Lomond
This magnificent massif is, at its highest point, 1572 metres – thesecond highest peak in Tasmania. It rises above pastures and forestswith its imposing and precipitous cliffs, visible over much of thenorthern midlands. Rock climbing, walking, downhill and cross countryskiing are some of the activities to enjoy, while others soak up thestark beauty from the lookout at Jacobs Ladder. Ben Lomond National Park is 50km or 1 hour southeast of Launceston or about 2 hours from Tam O'Shanter Views.
