Wineries
This north east section of the Tamar Valley Wine Route is virtually on our doorstep.
With more than 20 Cellar doors, this is the oldest wine region in Tasmania and some of the best sparkling wine, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc in Australia come from this area of stunning beauty. The Tamar Valley Wine Route will take you on a voyage of discovery from the rustic to the sophisticated, each vineyard with its own unique story - often to be told by the winemakers themselves, whose cool climate wines attract worldwide attention because they have earned it.
While staying at Tam O'Shanter Views, you can very conveniently visit the following wineries:
Brook Eden Vineyard
Jansz Tasmania Wine Room
Pipers Brook Vineyard
Dalrymple
Delamere
Bay of Fires Winery.
An easy drive from Tam O'Shanter Views to Lalla is Providence Vineyards and Leaning Church Vineyard, Providence being Tasmanias' oldest vineyard and the Leaning Church offering a fresh, funky and fun approach to wine, whisky and food tasting. Enjoy all-day dining featuring premium Tasmanian produce and great coffee, tour the historic church and enjoy a great BBQ on Sundays.
